Wonder how to improve your offline networking efforts with social media?

Posted on Friday, June 12, 2009 by Fred

Thousands of business owners attend networking events in Ireland. The average is once every 30 days. At that pace, is it possible to remember people’s names, companies and what they do? Also, how long does it take them to know me? What are my chances of being seen as the expert in my field in a short period of time?
We raised these and more constraints relevant to offline business networking and tried to overcome every single one of those objections by explaining the core networking benefits of Twitter and LinkedIn. We also provided actionable advise to put into practice immediately :)

Irish companies and the acknowledgement of Social Media

Posted on Thursday, May 14, 2009 by Fred

We attended the SFA event at the new Eircom building yesterday where Piaras Kelly and Colin Hetherington gave a presentation on Digital Marketing. Good content and advice for companies on how to get started with online social networks, blogging and some other cool examples.

Here are a couple of videos with the speakers’ advise on how to get ready before approaching a digital marketing agency and whether outsorucing your social media efforts is viable or not…

We all had a “d-lightful” night with photographers, writers, journalists, designers, developers, artists and film makers.
The fun consisted on some mad photo shoots (that were later presented through a slideshow on a big screen), a cool band, a DJ, a LEGO table (yes!) and good interaction.

Hi all,
This time, networking fell on a Saturday. I was really looking forward to Bizcamp not only because of the speakers but also to finally meet and interact with many people that I network online.

Bizcamp Dublin was a great success. The event was very organised, the venue perfect for the occasion and the presentations covered key points to develop a strong business.
I had the pleasure to meet David Behan, Jason Roe, Keith Shirley, Andrew Tobin, Aedan Ryan and Campbell Scott (Video below)…
